Andrew's Blu-ray Review: The awesome 2D Blu-ray disc ‘SAN BASE: NATURE OF TIME’ [2013] contains 9 different “Dynamic 3D Art Paintings” that will have you totally enthralled throughout the 138 minutes running time that will make you experience something totally unique in a dynamic sensual magical imagery that is out of this world, that will entrance you and take you on a voyage of discovering another dimension, that you will not have experienced ever before and here below is a detailed explanation of what amazing images you will get to view with the amazing ‘SAN BASE: NATURE OF TIME’ and they are as follows:
APRIL: The first “Dynamic Painting” is entitled ‘APRIL,’ and has the music composed by Alberto Zin, and begins very simply and slowly with apple blossom trees framing the mountains scenes behind and very realistic water in the background. The trees move and the water ripples as the realistic skies slowly changes colour. The trees and mountains subtly change colours in concert with the skies. The overall effect is almost Impressionist. Rather than paint a haystack one hundred times like a Monet, instead San Base wants to explore all the possibilities of light and atmosphere, San Base paints it once and allows algorithms to do the rest of the work. What I find totally impressive is that San base has produced something that is a beautiful experience that is like one of those beautiful Japanese artistic paintings, but this time you actually see everything changing slowly before your eyes in a very subtle way, especially wonderful cherry blossom trees that sway with the beautiful exotic music you hear.
OASIS: The second “Dynamic Painting,” is entitled ‘OASIS’, which is paired with the music composed by Roman Surzha, and shifts from the Impressionism to Surrealism and is very influenced by a Dalí-esque type landscapes that leaps into motion, minus the ants and melting clocks. The abstract shapes contort into whatever your imagination makes of them. ‘OASIS’ [aka Welcome to My Dream] is accompanied by the brilliant composed music of San Base and Roman Surzha’s ominous soothing music, especially with haunting figures that grow out of nothing to loom above the dreamscape and you see the images changing slowly before your eyes in a very subtle and dream like way. What is also brilliant about the images you view is all the multitude of exquisite colours that keep changing before your eyes, but even more fantastic is the beautiful textures of some of the surfaces of the Dalí-esque type objects that look so beautiful and totally realistic, that also swirl in an amazing hypnotic fashion with the specially composed exotic music.
CITY: The third “Dynamic Painting,” is entitled ‘CITY’ which this time is paired with the music composed by River Pilots. Here we are transported to a mountainous region that looks like we have been transported to somewhere that looks like Tibet, and all the buildings look like they have been built out of the actual mountain region, in lots of wonderful different shapes and sizes. Over time the rock formation slowly changes shape before our eyes in a very subtle way. The multitude of colours are really beautiful and what really impressed me is how realistic it all looked, especially the sky, and really makes you want to visit this beautiful place to witness what happens for real. What is also very impressive and realistic is the water lapping against the edge of the stone buildings and eventually nearly all the stone buildings disappear, which eventually reveals a brilliant stunning mountain range in the background and then we are left with beautiful shimmering big blue lake. But then suddenly without warning the stone buildings start to rise up again to once again make us view the stone buildings in spectacular in their full colourful glory. But what helps us enjoy the visual splendour is that San Base has produced something of beauty and what also helps enjoy the visual experience is the music that goes so well with the “Dynamic 3D Art Painting,” that makes it a truly wonderful experience.
THE DREAM: The fourth “Dynamic Painting,” is entitled ‘THE DREAM’ which is this time the music is composed by Roman Surzha. Once again we get truly wonderful and beautiful swirling colourful Dalí-esque type images, similar to what you viewed with ‘OASIS’ and again over time we get some stunning shape shifting designs that morph into each item, and it is a very hypnotic style and I know Salvador Dalí [Painter] would have been very impressed and I know if Salvador Dalí had been around to view this “Dynamic 3D Art Painting,” I bet Salvador Dalí would of wished he had invented this type of 3D Art. Once again we have hundreds of amazing beautiful stunning colours on all the wonderful moving art objects and once again where you view texture on the certain art objects, they look so realistic and impressive, that makes you want to go and touch them to see what it feels like. What you also get to view is an ever amazing changing colourful ground that again changes in a very subtle way and makes you feel you are on an alien planet, especially with all the changing weird shapes that helps you to enjoy it immensely with the very exotic music played throughout the 3D Art video. But what is also very impressive is the very exotic sky colours that also changes in very subtle ways, and calling this “Dynamic 3D Art Painting” ‘THE DREAM’ is something you could actually experience in a dream, especially after viewing this “Dynamic 3D Art Painting” ‘THE DREAM.’
FEBRUARY: The fifth “Dynamic Painting,” is entitled ‘FEBRUARY’ and to enhance the experience the music is composed by Kostya Eqvaro. Once again we are transported to another far off mountainous region covered in snow, where again you get to experience the landscapes changing in a very subtle way before your eyes, especially where the mountain range slowly disappears and other parts of the rock formation also changes into different shapes in a very slow subtle way, but what is totally amazing is that San Base has made the mountain range look so realistic, it makes you again want to go and actually visit the mountain region for real. Sometimes you have some pools of water suddenly appear, but after some time when some of the rock formation disappears, a most beautiful massive lake comes into view out of nowhere, that looks so realistic, as does the beautiful ever changing colours of the clouds in the sky. But equally impressive is the multitude of subtle colours on the rock formation. It amazes how San Base is able to create such a masterpiece, in again making it look so realistic and a totally wonderful viewing experience that is second to none, plus you have very atmospheric music to enhance your whole 14 minutes viewing experience, that will totally amaze you on how realistic it all looks.
JUNE: The sixth “Dynamic Painting,” is entitled ‘JUNE’ and to enhanced the ambient experience of the music which this time is composed by Kostya Eqvaro. This is again is the same type of image you got to view in ‘FEBRUARY,’ but this time it is of course set in the month of June. This time we are not static and we get to be taken on a wonderful aerial tour of the similar surrounding regions like in ‘FEBRUARY.’ Here again we get to view very beautiful realistic blue lakes that makes you want to enjoy it for real, plus we also get to view other fantastic mountain regions and it makes you feel you are watching a fantastic Sir. David Attenborough documentary, and especially like you get when they do aerial helicopter rides, but of course without the commentary. Again we get to view so many beautiful subtle colours with the landscape we get to view, but what is also dramatic is the fantastic very real looking blue of lakes. To make it look even more realistic is that I turned on the 3D mode on my Samsung handset to turn the image into fantastic actual 3D images and you definitely experience some spectacle 3D images to give you an even more enjoyable spectacular image experience. But what I really loved is the way you swoop down towards the awesome landscape and the mountain range, but suddenly you are made to swoop towards the top of the mountain range, but as you edge towards the top of the mountain range and you wonder what spectacular view that will get to be revealed. To help us on this wonderful journey that accompanies the images you view is the very exotic atmospheric music that goes so well with the totally awesome images you view.
TRANQUILITY: The seventh “Dynamic Painting,” is entitled ‘TRANQUILITY’ and to enjoy the smooth ambient experiences of the music, you get to hear this time music that is composed by Kostya Eqvaro. Here we are in another major mountain region somewhere on planet Earth. This mountain region is sitting in a beautiful lake and again we get lots of subtle changes to the mountain range, especially with a very realistic looking lake that undulates while the ever changing mountain ranges change shape in beautiful subtle way, which also looks so beautiful in 3D. But what also makes you enjoy ‘TRANQUILITY’ is the equally exotic music that enhances the viewing enjoyment you get to view. What are also beautiful are the ever changing beautiful colours in the sky that makes the whole experience so realistic and makes you once again want to visit this very beautiful place.
SAVANNA: The eighth “Dynamic Painting” is entitled ‘SAVANNA,’ and the beautiful ambient sounds you experience are composed by River Pilots. With ‘SAVANNA’ we get transported to place somewhere in Africa. But what you get to view is a row of trees swaying in the breeze in a very exotic similar way like the trees in the video ‘APRIL.’ But in front of the trees are some very exotic plants that slowly grow before your eyes and again you get to view a multitude of very exotic colours to keep you occupied in your viewing experience. What you also get to view in the distance is a vast flat savanna landscape that again has various changing subtle colours. I tried to watch this in 3D, but there were not much subtle differences in the depth of field, so I stuck to the 2D images. What helps your viewing experience is the amazing jazz like music, but does not really help you enjoy viewing these swaying tress, because not much else happens in what you view and it is slightly disappointing. On top of that, this video slowly goes on far too long and could have been brought to you in a much more enjoyable shorter experience, especially if they had cut it down to a 5 minute visual experience, instead of having to endure just over 17 minutes.
SUPERNATURAL: With the ninth “Dynamic Painting” is entitled ‘SUPERNATURAL’ we get to experience beautifully composed music by Kostya Eqvaro, sets the stage for the final most spiritual “Dynamic Painting” yet and is entitled ‘SUPERNATURAL.’ In this “Dynamic 3D Art Painting” you get soaring, and almost cosmic music that calls us to witness a recreation of the moment of creation, and especially a Big Bang of colour and light rippling out from the centre to fill the void. ‘SUPERNATURAL’ comes back to Earth with an opening scene of a sort of a totem-like figures standing in a lake on an island shore with other islands in the distance over an expanse of the water. Imagine the enigmatic heads of Easter Island rising up and slowly dancing to the music beneath Technicolor skies. With ‘SUPERNATURAL,’ strikes a spiritual chord without asking you to sing the hymn of any particular denomination. With this particular “Dynamic 3D Art Painting” video you get to view some very weird changing shapes that after sometime gets slightly boring, but I must admit that the art objects standing in the lake have ever changing beautiful stunning colourful changing shapes and again have also superb texture surfaces that looks so real and again I so wanted to feel those surfaces to see what it feels like. But most of all San Base’s “Dynamic 3D Art Paintings” offers images changing slowly before your eyes in a very subtle and dream like way and is helped on the 3D Art video journey brought to you from San Base Kostya Eqvaro.
